Mintos - Bondora - Mein Fazit nach 2 Monaten P2P (Konkrete Investitionen und Einstellungen)

Please be aware that the different lending companies on Mintos can have different terms. For example, it is not certain that all the lending companies are paying interest on delayed payments.

By visiting the primary or secondary marketplace on Mintos. You can visit the website here. Mintos was one of the very first P2P platforms in Europe to introduce a secondary market to its investors.

The feature quickly became very popular, and a lot of other crowdfunding platforms later implemented similar features.

However, to this day Mintos still have one of the best secondary markets in the industry. Some investors have been able to sell millions of Euro worth of loans in just a few days on the secondary market.

So if you want to sell a smaller portfolio of loans then it should not take long. It is really easy to buy and sell loans in the secondary market.

If you would like to buy a loan there, you can find the secondary market as shown above on Mintos website. Here you can find exactly the loans you want to buy through various filters.

Some investors try to find good deals in the secondary marketplace, but we do not recommend that you do it manually as it can be a very time-consuming process.

In Mintos secondary market, it is possible to invest via auto-invest in the same way as you can in their primary market.

In our opinion, it makes much more sense, since you do not have to spend hours manually selecting the loans. If you want to sell your loans, then the secondary market is a great tool.

Here you can sell the loans you own in a very short time. You can either choose to sell individual loans or sell all your loans at once.

You should be aware that there is a 0. The fee only applies if you are a seller and not if you are a buyer. If you need cash quickly, you may want to consider selling your loans at a small discount.

Then they will be picked up more quickly by investors looking for a bargain. At Mintos, it is possible to sell and buy loans with discounts, at par value, or with a premium on the secondary marketplace.

Below you can see how the loans are typically distributed:. As you can see, most loans on the secondary marketplace are sold at a discount. However, you can use this to your advantage by buying up a lot of bargains.

In March , the platform established a dedicated Mintos team containing 11 persons for developing an app for the investors.

In December , a beta version for iOS was released, and later, in January , the Android version followed.

With the release of a mobile application, Mintos aims to make it easier than ever to invest in loans from its marketplace. At this point in time, not all features you can find on the website are yet available on the mobile application.

However, Mintos is currently working towards implementing more of the web features on the app. But at the time being, many investment features are not available for mobile.

And even if you want to use the Mintos mobile app, you will still have to sign up via the website first. Another feature we think should be mentioned in this Mintos review is the risk ratings on the platform.

In , Mintos became the first P2P lending platform in Europe to introduce loan originator credit ratings. So whether you deal with loans on the primary market, the secondary, or when you are making use of the auto-invest features on the platform, you will quickly notice a risk rating connected to the loan originator of the respective P2P loan.

Essentially, the Mintos rating is made to make it easier for the average investor to understand the risk associated with a Mintos loan originator of a specific loan on the marketplace.

If a loan originator has a bad rating, there could be a higher chance that they will not be able to fulfill their obligations like buying back loans with the buyback guarantee.

The rating is based on a specific assessment methodology conducted by Mintos. The methodology contains five main areas which are operating environment, company profile, management and strategy, risk appetite, and financial profile.

This methodology is very similar to how credit rating agencies like Fitch rate investments. In this part of the risk rating, Mintos take a look at the regulatory environment surrounding the lending company.

Here, effective regulatory institutions and law enforcement are viewed positively. Here, factors such as market position, product offering, and organizational structure are assessed.

They are perfect for beginners, and will provide you the best returns while keeping risks under control.

Update August 17, I am now using new strategies on Auto Invest. I still kept the old strategies here just in case someone finds those more useful.

Not everything that works for me will work for you as well. In this way you can easily prioritize your defined strategies and also disable them in the future, if needed.

Try to invest in as many loan originators as possible to keep a low percentage in each one. And so on. Ending up investing in loan originators that might not be doing great and expose yourself to higher risk.

Hand pick them according to well defined rules , that I am going to show you later in the post. In the past I was using 4 strategies.

And because a picture is worth words, I will start with a screenshot. They are very simple, and easy to understand and will execute in the order of priorities.

That means I only chose to invest in high profile loan originators, that have a good track. Another important thing to mention is the amount of money allowed to be invested using this strategy.

Is the last one to be executed in the order of priorities and I have only created it to dramatically reduce the risk of money drag.

You can always sell these loans on the secondary market freeing up the money for another chance to buy higher interest loans later on. Smart, right?

Anyway, before starting I would say to not take everything you read here or anywhere else for granted. I encourage you to come up with your own rules that will work best for your risk profile and overall strategy.

I recently launched the Mintos Helper tool which is going to make it easier for you to apply all the rules we are going to talk below.

Make sure to check it out. Those are definitely more riskier and my conclusion is that they are not worth it. There are plenty of others available.

A good example is Aforti. This is where the Mintos Helper comes in handy, as is making it very easy to filter out originators with a low rating.

Here is a screenshot below. My recommendation is to choose loan originators with a rating above You will need to invest Euros or more to get it working correctly.

The best part of this like they say is that you get to cash out fast if needed. Since they say you can cashout fast it sounds good.

They will not be able to sell loans that are late before the buyback guarantee kicks in, remember that. This is within the first 90 days from your registration and pays out in 3 parts.

So if you been with me so far in my Mintos review and dont have an account there yet. To get this extra payout you just have to sign up using this link to Mintos.

Note that you will not get this extra payout if you sign up directly on Mintos. Cashback is another thing we should mention in this Mintos review.

From time to time some of the loan originators on Mintos can have special offers on loans. This to try and attract more investors in periods. Most of these cashback deals are available between weeks at a time.

Usually gives you a possibility to get everything from 0. It all depends on the criteria they set. In the picture below is an example on how much cashback Kredo and Monego gave out in July People like to get extra deals on everything these days, so this is a nice touch from the loan originators.

So I will list some of them here. If you pick loans with no buyback guarantee from the loan originator you let all fait go to the borrower.

Tip: Always go for Buyback loans so you at least have some extra security in my opinion. The loan originator can go out of business.

In this case it will be like any other company that go bankrupt. Here you can hope they get bought by some other company and things go on like normal.

Or it will be a legal process that will try and get all the money it can back to everyone. These things can take time and might not even help if they have no cash.

This happened to one loan originator, Eurocent. Tip: Try and diversify through many different loan originators.

Also many small loans instead of all in one loan originator to be more safe if this happens. The P2P platform goes bankrupt Mintos in this case.

My Overall Rating. My Average Yield. Investment Protection. What I Liked. Buyback guarantee on most of the loans. Huge amount of loans available.

Really easy to diversify. Can you say who that is? Maybe he has a blog to follow? Greetings Felix. Hi Felix.

Hi Jorgen, I just wonder how much do you approximatwly invest per one loan? Have a great day. Hi Holda. Selection of loan originators matters more.

Mintos is probably the best place to invest at the moment. I would totally recommend it. And of course, before opening an account, always use a referral.

Its a win-win situation and totally worth it. They even warn that autoinvest is subject to delays… related perhaps? Given that invest and access has priority what does this mean for the future of investors who want to use autoinvest i.

Is there any chance to change the autoinvest option? Some 60 months and more. I am yet to receive an answer from Mintos about this but wonder if anyone else had this issue.

Maybe settings are ignored in order to invest the entire available amount? Thanks, Jens. It sounds like a manual mistake to me, but it will be interesting to hear the response from Mintos.

Thanks for your quick response. Have you tried to get a sizeable sum out of them? I have relatives who have not been able to do that, Mintos makes different excuses….

I know several people who have withdrawn large amounts from Mintos. Sterling from p2p millionaire withdrew 1 million EUR without any questions asked.

Withdrawing from Mintos is the least of my worries. Where do I separate originators to pay outstanding fees on delayed payments?

This option appears to be not available. Hey Gleison, When did you sign up? What do you currently think on the Invest and Access stragety.

Which means invest and access gets them all before that. So i decided to give it a try and put some money on Invest and Access. It immediately got all the money invested with average interest 8.

Super low and dissapointing. You have zero control on even choosing the interest rate level. Otherwise it just pushes crap loans to investors but still geting the high return loans away from auto-invest portfolios.

As we have already mentioned, P2P lending is a moderate risk investment, and you must be aware that loans can default. Find them here.
